The New Revised GRE PREP
The customized Success Prep GRE Prep class is unique for a number of reasons, below are some of the reasons why our program has been successful in increasing GRE test scores over 100 points.
- We start with the basics: Most applicants to a graduate program have been out of an academic environment for a long time, which makes them weak in some of the core topics being tested on the GRE. At the Success Prep GRE prep class "we assume you know nothing"; this way we are able to help our students achieve success by starting from scratch, unlike other prep programs which gloss over the fundamental core concepts.
- Group study method: This unique approach to teaching the GRE Prep class has allowed us to maximize the learning experience for the student by grouping students to about 4 on a table and allowing students to share information with each other on a given problem with our tutoring staff assisting with each group. This style ensures the student gets as personal and one on one attention as possible and also gives them time to practice problems in class instead of just taking notes from the instructor.
- Math & Verbal Handout & Formula Prep sheet: Our teaching material is customized to take full advantage of the 4 week, 24 hours review class. We focus on reviewing the concepts frequently tested on the GRE using our handouts and Formula Prep sheet. The Formula Prep Sheet is designed to help the students remember the most important formulas required to succeed on the GRE Quantitative section.
- Outside the classroom: An integral part of our program is weekly homework assignments designed to keep the student engaged in practice for the 6 days they are away from the class. The homework assignments are reviewed at the next class to ensure all student questions are answered.
